Carlene is a Director with the Delta Community Foundation and a passionate advocate for charities in Delta. The Delta Community Foundation has been coined ‘Delta's charity for all charities' and Carlene brings a wealth of understanding of Delta’s greatest needs to the Foundation.
As Co-Founder, Coach, Executive Director, and builder of Delta Gymnastics Society (1979 – 2017), Carlene used her passion to make a difference in the lives of children by encouraging the development of self-esteem through physical literacy, belonging, and knowing that people care for them. Carlene is also chair of KidSport Delta and board member of the Ladner Business Association, Tourism Delta, and Delta Sport Hall of Fame. She loves Delta and wishes to see it grow and prosper in all areas.
